Listing policy
Skis, snowboards, bindings and poles are all welcome. A few things are blocked — always for a safety reason, never a fine-print one.
We don’t sell used boots — on purpose.
Boots pack out and mould to their first owner’s feet. A second-hand fit is a bad fit, and a bad fit is the #1 cause of a miserable day on snow. Get fitted for new boots at a partner shop — it’s the one thing you should never buy used.
Helmets, protective gear and clothing
Impact damage to helmets and protective gear can be invisible in photos — one crash can end their protective life. We can’t verify that history, so we don’t sell them.
We don’t list clothing or outerwear — SnowSorted is for hardware we can grade.
Binding indemnity
Ski bindings must be on the manufacturers’ indemnity list — the list ski shops use to decide what they can legally service and adjust. A binding that’s off the list can’t be serviced, and an unserviceable binding isn’t safe to pass on, so skis with non-indemnified bindings can’t be listed. You can sell the skis flat, or have a partner shop fit current bindings first.
Bindings we can’t verify are held for a human check before the listing can publish — usually within 24 hours.
Check a binding against the current indemnity list.
This binding system is retired.
Step-in systems like Burton SI and K2 Clicker need matching boots that haven’t been made in years — and we don’t sell used boots. These can’t be listed.
Older gear
There’s no hard age cap on skis or boards — structural condition is what matters, and the AI grade checks it. Boards 15 years or older carry a “vintage” flag, and older snowboard bindings are flagged for plastic fatigue.
Final binding adjustment must be performed by a qualified technician.
